We had a chance to talk to Joe Strickland who just took an unofficial visit to Purdue. Strickland is a class of 2022 6’4″ 245 lbs 4* DE and is rated as the top in-state recruit for 2022 and and Top 25 nationally regardless of position. Here’s what he had to say about his recent visit:
“The visit went pretty good due to coaches being so involved. I arrived and we toured the facilities and eventually got to speaking with coaches. I liked the new defensive line coach and what he had to bring to the young program. The strength coach had a lot to say and I was very impressed by such things he had to say. Really loved the all around experience of just being on campus. Then went to the basketball game, atmosphere like nothing other!”
During his visit he spoke to Coach Jamison most of his time at Purdue and also had the chance to sit down with Coach Brohm and got to speak with him.
In terms of education, Strickland is looking to major in Civil Engineering or something Business related.
Strickland has been in contact with Purdue and Indiana the most and had originally planned to visit Michigan and Wisconsin later in the month.
With Strickland being in the class of 2022 his decision time frame is far off and looks to have a better vision after his junior season.
