Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton Sends Strong Message Before Game 7

Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers and star point guard Tyrese Haliburton are set to face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder in a winner take all Game 7 on Sunday night to close out the NBA Finals.

In what has been a crazy back and forth series, the Pacers stayed alive on Thursday night at home in Game 6. They dominated the Thunder and won by a final score of 108-91.

Haliburton has been dealing with a strained calf. There was real concern about whether or not he’d be able to play in Game 6. Not only did he play, but he looked healthy and was able to make a major impact.

He scored 14 points to go along with five assists, a rebound, and two steals. In addition, he had a plus-minus of positive 25 in the win.

Ahead of Game 7, Haliburton has spoken out with a strong message. It’s clear that he is full of belief in his team’s ability to bring Indiana’s first ever NBA championship home to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

“There’s not a group of guys I’d rather go to war with,” Haliburton said. “I’m really excited to compete with these guys in a Game 7.”

Needless to say, it will be interesting to see what happens. This is the first Game 7 in the NBA Finals since 2016. Fans are excited to see a great basketball game between two teams who have proven to be evenly matched.

While the national media has completely overlooked the Pacers, Haliburton and company are thriving. They’re within one final win of capping off their magical season with a title. The entire state of Indiana badly wants to see the team pull off a win and they’ve proven themselves more than capable.

Game 7 will tip off at 8:00 p.m. ET on Sunday night. Indiana will look to get off to a strong start.

Should they be able to keep the game close, the Pacers have proven that they can win clutch basketball games. With Haliburton on the court, Indiana is simply hoping at the very least to have the basketball with the final shot and a chance for its star point guard to hit yet another game-winning shot.

Fans should buckle up for what could end up being a wild Game 7 for all the marbles.
